Jomo's Power Football Club
Hollywoodbets Atlantis chose Jomo's Power FC as their club of choice for Hollywoodbets' Soccer Sponsorship Programme. The Hollywoodbets team talks about the club.
Jomo’s Power Football Club was formed in 1975 in the Kallarney area known as the “Vlak”. The club was previously known as Power Lines and was named after the Koeberg power lines that run over that area. The club was found by Jan Van Graan and his cousin Isak Van Graan.
Jomo’s strives to become the best football club and to deliver world class football stars. The club boasts a variety of members from 6/7 years old up to 40 years of age. These men, and some ladies, come from different areas in and around of Atlantis and many are from very poor and disadvantaged communities. Jomo’s believes in giving every child a chance to play based on their talent. They therefore believe in the child’s ability to play and not his ability to pay!
Hollywoodbets delivered the brand new soccer kit to the players at their home field before an important match. The players was so grateful, proud and excited that they immediately changed into their new gear.
