Rock ‘a’ Fellas Football Club was established in 1996 and they are currently the most successful club in the community. This team also helps young learners better their education and they even join their practice times during the week! Rock 'a' Fellas also plays friendly games and participates in all the leagues possible. They are not just any team but they focus on learning about leadership skills and the almighty God.

On the 17th of February 2015 the junior team came to collect the club's brand new soccer kit. They were a lovely team of young players aged between 12 and 15. On Saturday the 21st of February 2015 the senior team will be wearing the kit for the first time. This is set to be a huge event as it will be the first game they will play wearing their new kit!

Bothasig AFC was established in 1972 and it is the local football club of choice for many communities. There are members that come from Kraaifontein up to Du Noon, with many suburbs in between. The club tries their best to accommodate as many members as possible. They have 13 junior sides and because of the sheer size of the club they often need donations.

Hollywoodbets has decided to support this club because their goal is to help keep their members away from all the negative aspects a young person can face on a day-to-day basis. Hollywoodbets was so kind to donate a soccer kit to the Bothasig AFC. The team was so grateful and you could see their joy on their faces!

Jomo’s Power Football Club was formed in 1975 in the Kallarney area known as the “Vlak”. The club was previously known as Power Lines and was named after the Koeberg power lines that run over that area. The club was found by Jan Van Graan and his cousin Isak Van Graan.

Jomo’s strives to become the best football club and to deliver world class football stars. The club boasts a variety of members from 6/7 years old up to 40 years of age. These men, and some ladies, come from different areas in and around of Atlantis and many are from very poor and disadvantaged communities. Jomo’s believes in giving every child a chance to play based on their talent. They therefore believe in the child’s ability to play and not his ability to pay!

Hollywoodbets delivered the brand new soccer kit to the players at their home field before an important match. The players was so grateful, proud and excited that they immediately changed into their new gear.

Beacon Pirates was established a long time ago before gangs and drugs were as commonplace as they are today. The team started with very young learners from the age of 7 and upwards until seniors of 50+. Their aim up until today is to do their best to keep the teens out of harm’s way and to bring hope into their lives. The senior team consist of teenage boys who have just completed school.

Hollywoodbets has been so kind to help the management of this team, who are in turn trying to help these young learners and teenagers to do something good with their lives. Everyone at Beacon Pirates  FCwas very grateful for the support!

On the 24th of February 2015 Sea Birds FC visited the Kwanonqaba branch in Mossel Bay to pick up their brand new Hollywoodbets sponsored soccer kit.

The team received a warm welcome from Melissa Jacobus and Coach Zenzile introduced her to each team member. He also went on to explain what they intend to achieve as the year progresses. Coach Zenzile thanked Hollywoodbets for this wonderful contribution to a growing team and promised that they would send invitations to future games.

On Sunday  22 February United Stars FC were invited to the Oudtshoorn branch to receive their brand new soccer kit. Jolene van Vuuren proceeded to welcome the Flying Stars by giving Mr Samuel a little background on Hollywoodbets and the industry we work in.

Mr Samuel thanked Jolene for Hollywoodbets' contribution, mentioning that we should definitely attend their next match to see how good these boys are.

On Tuesday the 24th of February 2015, Melissa Jacobus from Hollywoodbets was invited to attend the kit handover for the Future Stars FC at D’Almeida Stadium in Mossel Bay. Melissa remembers the experience fondly and recalls the excitement and eagerness of the team to wear their new uniforms.

Melissa was greeted by Clifford who introduced her to the other team members in attendance. Clifford thanked Hollywood for the sponsorship and commented on the fact that the company is making a big difference in the community because playing soccer helps keeping the guys off the streets.

On Friday the 22nd of February 2016, Anda and Michelle from Hollywoodbets attended the Soccer Kit handover at George Secondary School. They were warmly welcomed by Mr van Wyk who received them with open arms.

Mr van Wyk and the school's Principal expressed their gratitude towards Hollywoodbets and thanked us for the contribution we made that will help to improve the children’s lives. Anda and Michelle feel that this handover was one of their best to date because they could really see how much the school appreciated this donation!

On Thursday the 26th of February the Flying Stars FC team was invited to the Knysna branch to recieve their brand new soccer kit. Babalwa Tyingwa received Mr Luvuyo and his team on behalf of Hollywoodbets and proceeded to introduce him to the rest of the team at the Knysna branch.

Mr Luvuyo thanked Hollywoodbets for the generous donation and the contribution we made towards their future as a club. Mr Luvuyo informed us that he’ll keep us informed of future games should we wish to attend.

Hollywoodbets team members from Montague Gardens met up with the soccer coach of Left and Right United in Joe Slovo. The team was very excited about receiving their new kit because they had skipped their Saturday class just to be present for the handover.

This team strives to do whatever necessary to get ahead in life and want to change their circumstances that they are currently living in by becoming a well-known, successful team. They used to play in white t-shirts and black shorts but thanks to Hollywoodbets they now have a bright future ahead of them and look very professional in their purple!

The team was established in 2000 and since then they have been working very hard to get younger teens to stay in school and play soccer as a hobby to keep them out of trouble. The team consists of young men between the ages of 19 and 25 We were in contact with Alfonzo, the team organiser who helped arrange this donation.

We arrived to find the team already on their way to the soccer field and after we delivered the brand new soccer kit the team got dressed immediately. The uniforms fit them perfectly and they were so excited that they didn’t want to stop taking photos. Everyone at Abbotsdale United is very grateful for the support!

Seapoint FC United is a team made up of young adults aged between 20 and 35. The organisation was formed by members of the community and soccer lovers. The team comes together three times a week after work to practise and have fun. They encourage the youngsters as well as their donors to participate in their project and, by doing this, they help to develop the youth.

On a lovely Wednesday afternoon Hollywoodbets Sea Point team members paid a visit to the team to hand over their new soccer kit. The team was busy practicing but when they saw the new arrivals they stopped immediately and were thrilled to see what was in the bag. Most of the team players are Hollywoodbets' biggest fans which made this very special!

Kalksteenfontein was established in 1992 when two clubs from the North (Clover) and South (Ideal) merged. The idea was to have sports meetings and healthy competition between the north and south to help reduce gang fights. Since then the rural area of Kalksteen has been calm but not completely crime free.

Their goal is to focus on youth and to keep them involved in sports, which has been successful as most of these kids are from broken homes and the team has become a happy family.

Hollywoodbets decided to help this team to achieve their goal with the young children as well as teenagers. The team gathered to accept our donation, which they appreciated very much.

On the 15th of February 2015 Hollywoodbets team members from Woodstock met with Mr Victor the coach of Superstars Atletico in Kensington. The team consists of young men between the ages of 17 and 20. The boys always played soccer in the streets, therefore Mr Victor decided to gather them and create his own soccer team. Kensington has a very high crime rate and this helps to keep them off the streets.

The team is quite a large group and one could see they were really grateful when they received the kits. They invited Hollywoodbets Woodstock to come and watch their tournament when they play against professional teams and when they play for the champions leagues.

AC Zabalaza - Hollywoodbets Parow

AC Zabalaza is a team from Pakamisa in Khayelitsha. They have been playing in local leagues from inception in 2013. Their main objective is to get youngsters off the streets and according to their books and personal experience they have done an incredible job! AC Zabalaza focuses on a variety of sports for a variety of different age groups ranging from 18 - 35 years. The sports on offer include soccer, boxing, volleyball and athletics. They really strive to do their utmost to get these young people into shape and to keep them occupied.

Hollywoodbets has taken a great interest in this club, mainly because we would like to help them help others. On 27 February 2015 we gave the team a full soccer kit. The entire team could not make it due to school and work duties but they definitely appreciated the kit!

On the 21st of February 2015 team members from Hollywoodbets Wynberg met up with a team of adult players from Joshua Generation football club at the local Brooklyn field. They arrived just as the team was about to warm up, but they were given a very warm welcome by the coach Emmanuel Campady and the excited players.

The team couldn’t wait to see what Hollywoodbets had for them and after they finished warming up they changed into their brand new soccer kit. There was a lot of excited talking and laughter as they got ready for their team photo. Everyone at the club was very grateful for this wonderful donation and look forward to playing in their kit.

The Hollywoodbets Oudtshoorn team had the great pleasure to donate a soccer kit to the United Stars football club.

The United Stars Football Club started as an initiative to keep the youth off the streets. They are a small community in Dysseldorp, just outside Oudtshoorn.  The United Stars Football Club assists children in building social and life skills while at the same time providing exercise, fun, and a source of pride for being part of the United Stars Football Club.

We took some photos in front of the Hollywoodbets Oudtshoorn shop where we were thanked for Hollywoodbets' involvement in growing the Oudtshoorn community.

Team Mossel Bay got in the giving mood and made our way to the Future Stars FC training grounds.

We eventually got to an old rugby ground that was packed with eager smiles from left to right. This had to be what we were looking for! As we got out of the vehicle, the Future Stars rushed to the car, mesmerized by the occasion. After the formalities we handed over the soccer kits & the Stars couldn’t wait to get into their new clothes, each eager for a picture.

The whole Future Stars FC team thanked Hollywoodbets and promised they’ll let us know of future matches, sporting their new Hollywoodbets sponsored kits. The whole experience was very heart-warming and the entire Mossel Bay team felt good about reaching out to their community.

This team was formed by some officials of the local radio station 15 years back and it consists of 5 different divisions, under 9, 11, 15, 17 and senior division.

They won the local league twice in a row. Their aim is to keep on grooming the best players in our province. Some of the former players are now playing for Ajax Cape Town.

This soccer team is based in a township called Khayelitsha and is regarded as the pride of the area, as they are the current champions in the Khayelitsha football association.

In the next soccer season they will be representing the Khayelitsha local football association in the promotional soccer league that consists of the winners in all Western Cape LFAs. They have age groups in under-11, 15, 19 and first team.
