On the 15th of March 2015 Sanvir one of the area managers from Gauteng and Nelisiwe from the Boksburg branch visited Harenataba FC to hand over some soccer kit to one of the teams. They were welcomed by the team and coaches who were very grateful for the kit.

The team was started in 1997 to help develop young boys by trying to make sure that they are not exposed to crime/drugs and by educating them so that they can make a living out of football. Harenataba has won the African Bank Tournament as well as the Etwatwa football league. They are currently playing in the local soccer league. The coaches' dreams and goals are to create professional soccer players and for the team to grow and get more sponsors in future.

In March 2015 Glenda, Bryce and Sanvir from Hollywood Sportsbook visited Glory Boys to hand over some much-needed soccer kit to the club. They were welcomed by the coach, Godfrey, and his team who were training at the time.

The team was started in 2010 and recently won the Deep South Soccer Association Cup. Their main aim is to encourage youngsters to play sport and to develop their talents so that one day they will be able to play in the Vodacom/Castle Cups. Everyone was very grateful and expressed their appreciation of Hollywoodbets' support.

Try Me Again is based in Sharpeville and was started in 2000 by community members who wanted to help keep the youth off the streets and away from drugs and crime. The players are all in their 20’s and the team is currently 3rd on the log for the SAB Regional league.

Hollywoodbets team members delivered the brand new soccer kit to the Dick Fourie Stadium that is just down the road from their branch. The players were very happy to receive the kit from them and assured everyone from Hollywoodbets that they will be playing in their new kit with pride. Mr Sibeko and Mr Ndaba say thank you to management for making this possible.

This team was started in 2002 by Mr Madomelo Sipho, Sina Kgomo and Mr Chabalala with the aim of developing the youth and helping them to stay away from drugs and other crime. The team became involved in the Eden Park League in 2013 with the main goal being to keep promoting sports in the community. From 2013 this club has grown and is now made up of five different leagues (U/11; 13; 15; 17 and 19). In 2013 their U13, U15, U17 and U19 teams even won the league title and in 2014 they were promoted into the SAFA regional league!

This worthy local club was very grateful for the support that Hollywoodbets has given them and thanked the company for getting involved.

The team that was previously sponsored by Hollywoodbets was started in 2010 by only six players because they were inspired by the World Cup. Other players from the area joined in and they grew to be 13 players. The following year they had gone up to a total of 20 players. The entire academy has grown from six players in 2010 to 170 players in 2015, and they are very proud of their 9 teams.

The team relies heavily donations from their sponsors. These funds are used to help pay for team tours as well as to purchase the necessary gear. This year Hollywoodbets sponsored the U/09 team, and they were so excited to wear their brand new kit. It was just smiles all the way!

Team members Mayrah, Ntombifuthi and Sibonelo accompanied area manager Sanvir Singh who met with Godfrey Martins, the coach of Glory Boys.

They were introduced to the under-22 side and under-32 side that were very grateful for the kit and appreciated it. The under-22 side were disappointed that they did not get a kit as well but we kept their spirits up as we said we will see them again. The teams started in 2006 and are trying to get into the PSL. They play for the love of the game and to promote development of the youth around the Lenasia South area.

The club started in 2010. Coach Kenney who is an ex-professional player, comes here to this area to coach the children. These children grow up under extreme circumstances, they live in one bedroom shacks with their parents and are exposed to bad things. Most of the player’s parents are unemployed and the children often don’t have food to eat. The team also doesn’t have gear and shoes, they don’t even have a proper field to train on, but they make the best of what they have and love to play soccer.

The team are very grateful for the kit, and were so excited to wear it; they didn’t even want to go on the ground as they were scared it will get dirty. Coach also thanked Hollywoodbets for the kit, and said it is so wonderful that Hollywoodbet gives back to our community, and that we will never understand how much it means to the team.

Sanvir, Olwethu, Sibonelo and Phinny made a donation to Senza Okuhle Extension 28 Stars. On arrival at the grounds they were approached by Siya who introduced them to the team. What made them stand out was that they were not in a kit.

The team put on the kit and pictures were taken with the Hollywoodbets team members. The team then played a game of which the score was 1-1.

Word is going around of our donations and there are other coaches finding out how to qualify for a kit. 28 Stars started in 2001 and have two divisions, one open and the other under-14. The team was very grateful for the kit as it is the first time they had a sponsor in 12 years.

Team members Phumlani and Felicia headed by area manager Sanvir Singh made a donation to Extension 13 Sports Club. They met Kevin at a local park who then introduced them to the team who was very excited to receive the kit.

At first the team was shy but after they put on the kit they warmed up and posed for some pictures with the Hollywoodbets team. Thereafter with the kit they got into the competitive mood and started passing the ball around.

The aim of the team is to keep the youth away from drugs and keep them focused on school. In 2012 they introduced their very own community under-12 soccer team who finished 3rd. They progressed to under-13 in 2013 and this year will be playing in the under-15 side.

The team started in 2010 and was inspired by the World Cup. The team started with only six players and adopted players from the area. The team that we are sponsoring grew from 13 players last year to 20 players this year. The academy has grown from six players in 2010 to 170 players now, and very proud of their 9 teams.

The team is doing very well and one player made it to SA U/13. In the whole academy, there were players that made it to regional sides, and five players made it to provincials. The team doesn’t have money and gear, and rely on sponsors and donations. Some donations come from local businesses, which used to take the teams on tours and buy them necessary gear.

The team was so grateful for the kit. Coach Mark says by Hollywoodbets sponsoring the kit, the money that they have can go to sponsoring one of the best players to go to provincials.

Try Me Again is based in Sharpeville and began in 2000. Their goal is to eliminate crime, drugs and  keep the youth off the streets. The players are all in their twenties. We handed the kit over to them inside our branch and the punters were all happy that we are giving back to the community.

The team were very happy to receive the kit from us and said they will be playing with pride. The team were 3rd on the log in 2012. Last year they were 2nd on the log. Mr Sibeko and Mr Ndaba say thank you to management for making this possible. They will contact us when they are playing close by and we will go and support them.

Thabo, Zintle, John and Sanvir made a soccer kit donation to Harenataba FC. They were welcomed by George and his team. The team was impressed with the kit and looked good in it as they played around before their game.

There were small children gathering around looking amazed to see Hollywoodbets and the kit. They have been playing for four years and are currently playing in the EKFL league. They were 12th on the log of 20 at the time. Last season they finished in the top four. They play to promote unity in the community and encourage youngsters to play soccer.

Zintle, John and Sanvir made a donation to Dawn Park Masters. They met the coach Solly at the branch and thereafter he took them to meet the team. They handed over the kit and the Masters were very impressed with the new design and loved the use of colours.

Pictures were then taken with the team who were looking great with the sun shining bright on the Hollywoodbets colours at the grounds in Brakpan. They were very happy for the donation as this contributes to their dream that the Dawn Park community live a drug and crime free living.

Coach John and the other volunteer coaches’ vision for the kids are to keep them off the streets, keep them away from crime and drugs. They are not only teaching the players the sport, but also teach them values, responsibility, skills, discipline and they give them a lot of love.

The team are very motivated and have the right attitude to run the activities on their own. They know education is very important and always bring report cards to the coach, who will have one-on-ones with them. Even if they have bad behaviour, the coaches will mould and groom them, and teach them the right ways in society. This team finished second on the log last year.

Challenges they are facing are parent participation and involvement, not necessarily just for funds and to support the children whilst playing their games, but also to love and support their children. Another challenge is transport to the matches, which the coaches most of the time fund from their own pockets.

This football club was established in 1997. They have 5 divisions U11, U13, U15 and a senior team which is U21 and all together have around 50 players.

Their mission is to improve the society and develop a better future for the youth of Tembisa. They would like to thank Hollywoodbets for their continued support through the years in helping them with soccer kits. Most of the coaches are unemployed and they rely on charity in order to operate.

They have recently made the decision to change the name and will from now on operate under the name 1632FC, this stands for the postal code of Tembisa 1632 and FC for United thus will be Tembisa United.

On the 25th of May 2013 Vusi and Sanvir made a donation to United Scientists FC.

On arrival at the grounds they were approached by the team who were amongst the crowd of other different teams.

What made them stand out was that they were not in uniform. Samuel the owner and coach of the team, later arrived.

The team kitted up and pictures were taken. They then shook hands with the Hollywoodbets team, showing their appreciation.

Their vision is to groom the players and give them exposure. Their strategy is to have sound management and market the team for a brighter future.

The coach informed us that they were going to play the next day.

On Monday (27 May 2013) we received a fax stating that the team won their match on Sunday proudly wearing the Hollywoodbets kit and thanked us again.

Dawn Park Development Team - Hollywoodbets Alberton

On Thursday, 23 May 2013, Hollywoodbets Alberton went to do the handover of the soccer kit to the Dawn Park Development Team.

This is such a vibrant and disciplined team.

The main objective of the coach is to teach the team not only how to play soccer, but they are also taught techniques and strategies, fitness and nutrition. They will be developed physically, mentally, spiritually and psychologically. All these factors will help them one day when they get sent out there to play in big teams and leagues. They will be able to handle the pressure and be the best that they can be.

Coach Kenny has such high expectations for his team, as he believes that a lot of them will
become professional players. He also knows the only way this is going to happen is with his guidance.

He will teach them all there is to know about technique, skills and hard work. Yes, talent is a small factor, but hard work, the right training and motivation will also do the trick.

They are hoping to get their own transport like a mini van so they can have more teams that can be trained to be our future stars.

In May, team member Vusi and area manager Sanvir Singh made a donation to Sasolburg Juventus FC.

They were welcomed by Samuel who introduced them to the team who were very excited to receive the kit as they were going to play the next day.

After putting on the uniform they played around the field with one of the soccer balls also sponsored.

There were a lot of other teams training on the field who were admiring the Hollywoodbets sports kit. We had a few coaches approaching us asking for a donation.

The team started in 2001 and in the season of 2002 they were the winners of the Castle Regional League Eastern Free State Provincial.

Their plan is to win the league and secure a position in the Vodacom League Second Division and grow as a team to bigger leagues.

On the 25th of May 2013 Vusi and Sanvir made a donation on behalf of Hollywoodbets Lenz Station to Sebokeng SAPS FC.

They were welcomed by SGT Fourtuin and his team who were waiting in anticipation.

The items that were given were two soccer balls and soccer kits for the whole team.

They were amazed when Vusi opened the bag which contained the items.

The team were really proud to wear the uniform as can be seen in the photos.

The team engages in community projects trying to build a better working relationship between the team and community members. They promote health and wellness of the police officials.

Tembisa Liverpool FC - Hollywoodbets Kempton Park

The team started in 1997 and have been participating in the Tembisa Football Assosiation
since 1998.

They have four divisions, U13; U15; U17 and seniors. All the children are scholars from the Tembisa area, and the coaches Tebogo and Thabiso, who are twins, encourage them to attend school.

Tebogo and Thabiso’s future plans for the team is to educate them positively through sport, to help them become the best human beings possible. They want to send them out in the world, to one day be great fathers, husbands and leaders. In order to be a good citizen you need to have leadership and discipline. This is what the coaches want to teach them. The soccer practice keeps them off the street which is already a step in the right direction.

Tebo and Thabiso’s vision for the team: “We want them to one day be in our national team, and not as followers, but leaders.”
