Waterkloof Soccer Academy
Hollywoodbets Pretoria chose Waterkloof Soccer Academy as their team of choice for Hollywoodbets' Soccer Sponsorship Programme. The Hollywoodbets team talks about the club.
The team started in 2010 and was inspired by the World Cup. The team started with only six players and adopted players from the area. The team that we are sponsoring grew from 13 players last year to 20 players this year. The academy has grown from six players in 2010 to 170 players now, and very proud of their 9 teams.
The team is doing very well and one player made it to SA U/13. In the whole academy, there were players that made it to regional sides, and five players made it to provincials. The team doesn’t have money and gear, and rely on sponsors and donations. Some donations come from local businesses, which used to take the teams on tours and buy them necessary gear.
The team was so grateful for the kit. Coach Mark says by Hollywoodbets sponsoring the kit, the money that they have can go to sponsoring one of the best players to go to provincials.
